About "Reflections of Insight"
"Reflections of Insight" is the bringing together of music that has been created and performed by Michael K. Allen between 1974-1998. Though this is not all the works that he has done, it represents a selected variety of the melodies that he has brought to life. These musical works are the makings of his first album/cd. There has been quite a number of requests for his music on the public market, and the CD is the first step along this avenue.
Michael enjoys playing anywhere and everywhere he can. This site is an attempt to get more exposure to his music, not only in the US but also around the world. Some of the selections contained herein are strictly of southern US traditional style, while others seem to have an old Celtic style to them. The subject matter varies from the beauty that is available around us to the dark dangers that we may encounter in our lives. From the simplicity of a child's delighted visage to the complicated facets of one's love and understanding.
These musical stories are creations of his open imagination, blessed upon him from the Almighty, a gift that he share's with all that will listen. Young and old alike have expressed interest and enjoyment in the performance of the sharings of Michael's inner thoughts. Many have been touched, as hopefully many more will be.
Word of mouth is the best advertisement in the world. If you like the music you find within this site, then by all means share it with a friend. You never know who may cast a smile your way from that simple reference. All interest in these songs are appreciated. Michael does not look to make a fortune with these songs, just to be able to survive in this world where the smiles generated by the music is so much in demand.

After some delays, the "Reflections of Insight" CD is finally in production and being shipped. The CD's are sequentially numbered and autographed into a collector's series.
The "Collector's Series" is the fruit of much planning. With the "Collector's Series" you get not 1 but 2 copies of the CD. In order to retain the integrity as a "Collector's Series", each order includes a hand sealed issue of the CD complete with a unique serial number issued for that individual copy. The serial number is recorded in the booklet inside the sealed CD case, on the sealed CD itself as well as on the back of the CD cover, inside the case. The person to whom that number was issued to is also recorded INSIDE the booklet in the sealed CD case. The Cd itself, the inside booklet and the back CD case card are all autographed personally by Michael.
You also get a personalized "Certificate of Ownership" with each Collector's Series order that is suitable for framing and hanging on proud display! The certificate includes the name of the Owner, that person's unique serial number, the date the CD and certificate was produced as well as Michael's signature.
In addition, you also get another CD that includes all the songs recorded exactly as they are on the "Collector's Edition" CD. It is packaged differently but the content is the same, that way you can listen and share the music without compromising the integrity of the "Collector's Edition". Michael felt that was only fair. "Why pay for a 'Collector's Edition' of a CD if the first time you open it and listen to it, the CD looses value?"
Each "Collector's Edition" is individually, custom made, one at a time and issued a serial number that is unique to that issued CD. These numbers are sequential, so the earlier copies get the lowest number. Likewise, the more copies that are sold, the more value the lower numbers will retain. A 'General Issue' version of the CD "Reflections of Insight" will be forth coming, but will not be numbered, personalized or autographed.
